    What are you asking?
    If 10x = y, then x = y/10

    Why bring in logs?

I typed it wrong. It's suppose to be 10^x=y and you're suppose to solve x by using logs to both sides.

    Re: Basic Log Problem

    $10^x = y$

    $\log_{10}(10^x) = \log_{10}(y)$

    $x = \log_{10}(y)$
