    Transpose equation to find for x as power

    Hi guys,

    I've been using an equation to calculate the cost capacity given a index factor "x"

    now i want to use this to calculate an index factor "x" given some past data.

    The equation is:

    c2 = c1 * (q2 / q1) ^ x

    i would like to use this to find x given i know all other variables but my ability to transpose this equation is limited.

    thanks for help.

    $x=\dfrac{\log(c_2)-\log(c_1)}{\log(q_2)-\log(q_1)}$
