just having trouble understanding some things, no doubt you guys know it all...

these are steps to make equivalent fractions, i don't understand this bit...

• Form equivalent fractions by using the LCD
• 13/4 = 65/20 and 3/5 = 12/20

how is this possible, i'm not seeing where they got the 65

When you multiply the top and bottom of a fraction by the same number, it is like multiplying it by and so it is still equivalent to what you started with.
