# Thread: Slope-Intercept Form (Word Problems) - Help!

1. ## Slope-Intercept Form (Word Problems) - Help!

I didn't understand this problem. Hopefully someone can help!
Once again employed and earning a salary, Bob decides to join NetMovies. After paying \$6.00 a month to join, he then has to pay only \$.75 for each new release he gets in the mail.
a) write an equation, in slope-intercept form, representing the relationship between the number of DVD's Bob rents and how much he will have to pay per month.
b) If Bob spent \$18.75 last month renting DVD's, how many DVD's did he rent? Thanks for the help! 2. ## Re: Slope-Intercept Form (Word Problems) - Help! let $n$ be the number of videos

monthly cost in dollars as a function of $n$ ...

$C(n) = 6 + 0.75n$

you do part (b)

Thanks
