    How do I get this different output when completing the square?

    I need to complete the square for this formula: -0.5x2 - 0.25x + 25

    I can do this easily, the answer is:
    -0.5(x+0.25)2+ 25.03


    However I need to get the answer in a different format. When applying this equation on the complete the square function on symbolab, the answer is:
    -(0.707107x+0.176777)2 +25.0313


    This is the answer I need however I have no idea how to get to this answer. Any help is appreciated.

    I just has the "0.5" that you factored out at the beginning put back in the parentheses. -0.5(x+ 0.25)^2= -(\sqrt{0.5}x+ 0.25\sqrt{0.5})^2= -(0.707107x+ 0.176777)^2. And, of course, that "25.0313" is just your "25.03" to two more decimal places. It looks like "symbolab" likes to round number to 6 decimal places.
