    Conversion of units

Hi everyone--can someone help me to convert from an acceleration of 1 G or 32 feet / second / second to find how long it would take to accelerate to 100,000 miles per second?
    Thanks! D

    Re: Conversion of units

There are 5280 feet in a mile so "100,000 miles"is 528,000,000 feet. To reach a speed of 528,000,000 feet per second at an acceleration of 32 feet per second per second will take (528,000,000 feet per second)/(32 feet per second per second)= 16,500,000 seconds. That will be 16,500,000/60= 275000 minutes or 275000/60= 4583 hours, 20 minutes= 76 days, 23 hours, 20 minutes.
