I have a few different math problems i need help with
1. Find the domain of the function 6(square sign)x (square sign end)-12
2. Let f(x)= 18 calculate the following values
f(a+h)
f(a+h)-f(a) Over h
So how would you do those?
I think you mean $\displaystyle 6 \sqrt{x} -12$1. Find the domain of the function 6(square sign)x (square sign end)-12
The domain is the set of possible values for x. \sqrt{x} doesn't work for negative numbers so the domain is $\displaystyle [0,\infty)$
f(x) = 18.2. Let f(x)= 18 calculate the following values
f(a+h)
f(a+h)-f(a) Over h
To find f(a+h) we replace all the xs with a+h.
so f(a+h) = 18
the same process gives us f(a) = 18, so $\displaystyle \frac {f (a+h)-f (a)}{h} = 0$
