    Hello,

    I presume that you want to know the fraction of a particular television with respect to the total amount of televisions.

    The sum of all TV-sets is 42. Therefore you have to calculate:
    \frac{12}{42}=\frac{2}{7}

    \frac{16}{42}=\frac{8}{21}

    it's the same result as nr. 1.

    \frac{2}{42}=\frac{1}{21}

    I hope that it was this what you are looking for.

    Greetings

    EB
