Someone help me with this question..
What is the value of x in the equation? $\displaystyle x/2x+1=4/3$
How would i start off?
and btw how do i do a fraction sign on this site?
I think all of us have hated fractions once upon a time...
$\displaystyle \frac{x}{2x+1}=\frac{4}{3}$
Multiply each side by the denominators:
$\displaystyle 3x=8x+4$
$\displaystyle x=\frac{-4}{5}$
Good question:
As far as the fraction sign is concerned: x=\frac{-4}{5} is the final line of code there. This may help you: http://omega.albany.edu:8008/Symbols.html
