    translate

    translate and solve

    twicw the difference of three and n is the same as nine subtracted from negative one times n

    2(3-n)=(-1)n-9
    Open parantheses watch those signs
    6-2n=-n-9
    Subtract 6 from both sides,
    -2n=-n-15
    Notice -9-6=-15 not -9-6=3.
    Add n to both sides,
    -n=-15
    Multiply both sides by -1 (the signs change)
    n=15
