Could you please help to see if this correct, much appreciated. Not sure whether it is 15 + or - 22!

3(y - 4)- 2(5 - 6y)

3 × y, 3 × ¯4, ¯2 × 5, ¯2 × ¯6y

3y +¯ 12 +¯ 10 + 12y

= 15y – 22

I don't know what your notation is supposed to signify, but:

$3(y - 4)- 2(5 - 6y)=[3\times y-3\times 4]-[2\times 5-2\times 6 \times y]=3y-12-10+12y=15y-22$
