When is this due? What have you tried? Where are you stuck? What is abc formula?

I think atomsa is referring to the quadratic equation

for $\displaystyle ax^2 + bx + c = 0 $

the solutions are given by

$\displaystyle \frac {-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}$

in this case a=1,b=3,c=2 so

$\displaystyle \frac {-3\pm\sqrt{3^2-4(1)(2)}}{2(1)}$
