Another Simple Question
2/3 x = 24

and

3(x - 5) + 7 = 16

and

Find three consecutive numbers whose sum is 60 <-, I know it's 19,20,21 but how would I show my work for this?

I can figure it out in my head, but I can't make the exact process work to spell it out because I have to show my work. Thanks for your guys help again.

$\frac{2x}{3} = 24$

$2x = 72$

$x = 36$

----

$3(x - 5) + 7 = 16$

$3x - 15 + 7 = 16$

$3x - 8 = 16$

$3x = 24$

$x = 8$

----

$(x) + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 60$

$3x + 3 = 60$

$3x = 57$

$x = 19$

(So if x = 19 then (x + 1) = 20 and (x + 2) = 21. Do you understand? )
