    Hello

    Try writing \frac{6 + \sqrt{40}}{2} as \frac{6 + \sqrt{4}\sqrt{10}}{2}

    \frac{6+\sqrt40}{2} = \frac{6+\sqrt{4 .\ 10}}{2} = \frac62 + \frac{2\sqrt{10}}{2} = 3 + \sqrt{10}
