    algebra 2 factoring polynomials helps pls!

    Direction: Factor each expression
    40-5t cube (sorry dont knoe how to type the 3 on top of the "t")
    can anyone explain how to solve this. and is the formula (a-b)(a square + ab + b square)?..thanks

    Do you mean 40 - 5t^3?

    40 - 5t^3 = 5(8 - t^3)

    And we know that
    a^3 - b^3 = (a - b)(a^2 + ab + b^2)
