    what exactly were you trying to accomplish here?

    Haha, true! Yes, I was practicing Latex, but I am aware now that there is an area for that. I've never used it before so I was just trying out random stuff. Sorry for the confusion... :-)

    also, you can make a post in a random thread, but don't post it, just click on the "preview post" button and you'd see what it looks like.

    another option is to PM yourself some LaTeX code and see if it works
