    how do i simplify the expression
    Z^10/Z^11?

    Putting the algebra in exponential form help you a lot...

    \frac{z^{10}}{z^{11}} = z^{10}z^{-11}

    =z^{10-11}

    =z^{-1}

    =\frac{1}{z}

    Z^10/Z^11=Z^10/Z^10* Z^1
    =1/Z
