1. ## Algebra Equation

I NEED HELP FAST!! I HAVE A TEST TOMMOROW AND I HAVE A FULL PAGE OF HOMEWORK NOT DONE!! IF I DONT PASS THIS TEST THEN IM DEAD FOREVER!!!

OKAY

Its like this, 8x-11=3x+27

ALso, there is like
-5x=26-7x
-5x+2=6x-1
-4x-5=3x+2
-5x+3=15-x
-(These are fractions)x/3=5/7 $\frac {x}{3}=\frac {5}{7}$
-13x+11=24-7x
-6x+7-19=7x-8-3x
4x+5x+21=24-3x

Hello,

you have to rearrange your equations, so that the x is on one side and the constants on the other side of the equation. The final step ist to divide both sides of the equation by the coefficient of x:

(Remark: This sign "|" means: Do on both sides of the equation what follows directly this sign. I'll do the final step only with the first problem. With the following problems your at your own.)

a) 8x-11=3x+27 | -3x + 11 you'll get: 5x = 38 | /5 -----> x = 38/5
b) -5x=26-7x |+7x ----> 2x = 26 ----> x = 13
c) -5x+2=6x-1 |-6x -2 ----> -11x = -3 ---> x = 3/11
d) -4x-5=3x+2 | -3x + 5 ----> -7x = 7 ----> x = -1
e) -5x+3=15-x | +x - 3 ----> -4x = 12 ----> x = -3
f) $\frac{1}{3} x =\frac{5}{7} \Longleftrightarrow x=\frac{3\cdot 5}{7}$
g) -13x+11=24-7x | +7x - 11 ----> -6x = 13 ----> x = -13/6
h) -6x+7-19=7x-8-3x <==> -6x - 12 = 4x-8 | -4x+12 ---> -10x = 4 ---> x = -2/5
i) 4x+5x+21=24-3x <==> 9x + 21 = -3x + 24 | +3x-21 ----> 12x = 3 ----> x = 1/4

I hope that I prevented your early and unexpected death.

Greetings and welcome to life!

EB

3. I'm still confused with 3 of the questions.

The fraction one, 4x-5=3x+2, and 13x+11=24-7x

It may be how i tested it, but I think they are wrong lol... maybe not the fraction one, i dunno how you did that

Hello,

now I'm quite confused because the problems you give here are different from the problems you've given first.

4x-5=3x+2 | -3x+5 ----> x = 7

13x+11=24-7x | 7x-11 ----> 20x = 35 ----> x = 7/4

Greetings

Let's do these one step at a time:

4x-5=3x+2

4x - 5 + 5 = 3x + 2 + 5

4x = 3x + 7

-3x + 4x = -3x + 3x + 7

x = 7.
-------------------------------------

13x+11=24-7x

13x + 11 + 7x= 24 - 7x + 7x

13x + 7x + 11 = 24

20x + 11 = 24

20x + 11 - 11 = 24 - 11

20x = 13

$\frac{20x}{20}=\frac{13}{20}$

x = 13/20.
----------------------------------

In each case what we are doing is adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing by the same thing on both sides of the equation. The first goal is to get everything with an "x" term on one side of the equation and all the constants on the other.
