    solving (rational expressions)AGAIN

    Solve 7 = 4
    3x x-2 do i need to multiply and leave it like this 7x-14=12x ?

    Hello,

    I assume that you mean:

    \frac{7}{3x} =\frac{4}{x-2} \ .\ x \neq 0~\wedge~x \neq 2

    Multiply bot sides by the denominators and cancel:
    <br /> \frac{7\cdot 3x \cdot (x-2)}{3x} =\frac{4 \cdot 3x \cdot (x-2)}{x-2}~\implies~7x-14=12x~\implies~-14=5x ~\implies~ x=-\frac{14}5
