I assume that you mean:

$\frac{7}{3x} =\frac{4}{x-2} \ .\ x \neq 0~\wedge~x \neq 2$

Multiply bot sides by the denominators and cancel:
$
\frac{7\cdot 3x \cdot (x-2)}{3x} =\frac{4 \cdot 3x \cdot (x-2)}{x-2}~\implies~7x-14=12x~\implies~-14=5x$
$~\implies~ x=-\frac{14}5$
