Hello, Nikaela!

Are you familiar with those Properties and what they mean?

Quote:

Name to property shown: .$\displaystyle \left(\frac{3}{5} \times 4\frac{2}{3}\right) \times 6\;=\;\frac{3}{5} \times \left(4\frac{2}{3} \times 6\right)$

There is a product of three numbers.

They simply grouped the three numbers in two different ways.

That is the*Associative*Property (of Multiplication).

Try glancing through this page: Properties of Real Numbers. One of them on there is what you're looking for. Come back if you don't find it.
