    [SOLVED] Convert to fraction..

    I am suppose to convert this to a fraction using paper and not a calculator...

    .9595...

    Hello,

    let your number be x. The number of repeating decimals is 2. Thus multiply your number by 100 (2 zeros):

    \begin{array}{l}100x = 95.959595...\\ \ \ \ \ x=\ 0.959595...\end{array}

    Subtract and you'll get:

    99x = 95~\implies~x=\frac{95}{99}
