If one - third of tank holds 80 liters of water, then what is the quantity of water that half of the tank holds?

Let the total capacity of water tank be $x$. Then $\frac{1}{3}x=80\Rightarrow x=80*3=240 \text{ litres}$ Then half of tank will be 1/2 of x. I think you can do it from now by substituting x.
