College Algebra help!
Hello everybody, i'm just an innocent cheerleader girl that hates math and am not very good at it. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

Using synthetic division, determine whether the numbers are zeros of the polynomials. 5, 2; f(x)=x^3-8x^2+20x-16

Just say if 5 is or not and if 2 is or not. Thanks soo much!

Hello,

because $\displaystyle x^3-8x^2+20x-16=(x-4) \cdot (x-2)^2$ I can say

5 ----> no
2 ----> yes

as you requested.

Greetings
