    Inequality

    x+2 >= 2^x - Wolfram|Alpha

    How would you go about solving this problem algebraically ? I have no idea how to deal with the exponent, I tried manipulation with logs, but it did not work out.

    Re: Inequality

    Hi,
    Wolfram Alpha is a little misleading. However, he is right that the exact solution interval can not be found by elementary means. The attachment shows the graphical solution; if you don't know calculus, just believe that Newton's method is a numerical method to solve equations.
