    my 2cents worth:

    f(x)=x0=1, x≠0
    limx→0 f(x) =1
    f(x) defined and continuous for all x if you define f(0)=1

    If x is multiplied by -2, -1, 0, 1 and 2, then there are 5 solutions, and ZERO is ONE of them ... AHEM!
