How do I do this?

show that $2x^2+6>4x+1$ for all values of x?

Thank you!

But...Your equation forms complex answer as $b^2 - 4ac = -ve$
$2x^2 - 4x + 5 > 0$
$\therefore x>1+1.224744871i$ or $x<1-1.224744871i$
3. $2x^2-4x+5>0\Leftrightarrow 2(x-1)^2+3>0$
