Can someone help clear up this questions

a)Use the Asymptotes and intercepts to make a quick sketch of the function f(x) = x-2 / x+4 and it's reciprocal fR(x) = x+4 / x-2.

Okay so I graphed them both on the same graph.

b)describe the symmetry in the graphs in part a.

I don't understand this! What's the symmetry? How do I describe this?? It looks like it's inverted. Maybe spun around 180degrees... but it's not.

c) determine the equation of the mirror line in your graph from part a.

...I'm guessing the mirror line is the line of symmetry in part b??

Hey tdotodot.

Symmetry means how something is the same or similar. You have to describe what parts of the graph are similar in behaviour.

Examples include symmetrical about the x or y axis (i.e. they are reflections about an axis) or that you have a mirror inverse (i.e. one side is the upside down version of another side).
