Math Help - fraction with unknowns

    fraction with unknowns

    Here is the problem. "m" to the third power +x/y - x squared= ?

    m= -3
    x=-4
    y=-2

    The book answer is -41 and I cannot get that.

    m^3+\frac{x}{y}-x^2=(-3)^3+\frac{-4}{-2}-(-4)^2=-27+2-16=-41
