a) The binomial expansion of (12x)^3 up to the term in x^3 = 1+6x+24x^2+80x^3
b) hence find the first three terms of the expansion for 13x/(12x)^3
what is the relation? I know (12x)^3 = 1/(12x)^3
so how do you find the first three terms of 13x/(12x)^3 by knowing part a)?

From what you have give I gather following:
(12x)^3 up to the term in x^3 = 1+6x+24x^2+80x^3
13x/(12x)^3 = 13x * (12x)^3 = 1  3x [ 1+6x+24x^2+80x^3 ] = 1  3x  18x^2  72 x^3 etc
