Question With Functions
6. At Phoenix Fashions, Rebecca is paid a monthly salary of \$1500, plus 4% commision on her sales over \$2500.
b) Use function notation to wrtie an equation of the relation.

That's all i need. I just need to know how you got the equation because I have the answer but I don't know how to get it. An explanation would be nice. Thank you!!

Let "s" be her sales . Her "sales over \$2500" is s- 2500. What is 4% of that? That will be her commission which is added to \$1500.

That equation will be valid for s >= 2500

Let TS be total salary then TS = 1500 + P* 4/100 where P = 0 for s < 2500 and P = ( s-2500) for s >= 2500 and s - is the total sale done by Rebecca
