1. ## indices & logarithms

3^2n+1 x (1/6)^n = 2^2-n x 8^n
Find n

2. ## Re: indices & logarithms

Do you mean (3^(2n+1))(1/6)^n= (2^(2-n))8^n?

It helps to know that 6= 2(3) and 8= 2^n. Write everything in powers of 2 and 3

(The fact that there is no power of 3 on the right is something of a "giveaway"!)
