    Algebra 2 help

Hello, I received a math packet on things I never learned and was hoping you can help me.

    Multiply:

    1) 8(x+2)=
    2) -5(2a+3b)=
    3)(x+2)(x+3)
    4)2a(b+3c-4d)=
    5)a-(2a-4)=
    6) -2(x+3)- 7(2x-3)=
    7) 3d-7-(5-2d)=

    solve each equation or inequality:

    8) 5x-2+3x=2x+6-4x
    9)-4x-7>-35

    simplify each of the following:

    10) (3y)2=
    11) 33x52=
    12) (x5 y2)3=

    Re: Algebra 2 help

    remember the properties distribution m( x + y) = mx + my
We can add/subtract/multiply/ divide by same quantity an equation on both sides without affecting the equality. this holds good for inequality too except if multiply / divide by a negative quantity the inequality gets reversed, ie., < changes to > and vice-verse.
    Also ( ab)^m = a^m * b^m
    (a^m)^n= a^(mn)
