I've only tried a and b but I need help with all abcd...
These are a lot more complicated then the questions I had to do before... I don't know what the next step is after simplifying the numerator and denominator...

If you find yourself unable to factor the polynomials in the numerator, then you made a mistake simplifying. Be careful with distributing signs and such. Also, always before simplifying find the non-permissable values by setting the denominator to 0, since the denominator cannot equal zero, the value you find from that equation are you non-permissable values. If you try to find these values after simplification, you will miss a few of them.
i've read through the examples that were given for this topic, they are not as complicated as these ones, i am okay at more simpler algebra and haven't looked at anything like this yet, (just got on this topic and read all the info my textbook gave me on it) it would help if someone actually gave direct help with the first question i tried to do and tell me if i've atleast simplified it correctly so far, i know that if i have, i'd have to get the non permissible values then write the equation in the simplest terms; i know this. my problem is with the algebra and what direct steps i should take because i'm not good at algebra obviously; no need rub it in, we're at different levels.
like for a) i feel like it cannot be simplified any further and that the npv is x = 3, i'm not sure how i'm suppose to end up with x+6/x+3
i know how to get the non permissible values, i need help with the algebra to get it to the final answer.
you didn't read my previous post...

i'm not sure why people are attacking me, i'm just saying i need more help; i'm still stuck. is that wrong? i'm not good at math, i've said this, i also said i read through the information my textbook gave me on this topic and they only show examples with really simple questions.
