Factoring in this case won't help you, as you can only use factoring to solve equations when the equation equals 0.
You will need to set the equation equal to 0 and then solve using the Quadratic Formula or Complete the Square.
Hey guys quick question,
So, I got a formula to be 65 = 30t-3t^{2} I need to know how I solve this.
The answer was t = 5- square root (10/3)
thank you.
So I know I can factor this to be 65 = -3t(t-10) so now do I just divide by 65 or what? :S
Edit: I just figured that you can move 65 to the other side lol 30t^2-3t^2 + 65 = 0 >_>
