    Linear Algebra

    Four points on a cubic polynomial are given as (-1, -10), (1, -4) (2, 2) and (0,-4). Find the equation to the polynomial.

    Have you tried anything so far?

    The equation of cubic is \displaystyle y = a\,x^3 + b\,x^2 + c\,x + d. Can you substitute the four points to give four equations that you can solve simultaneously for a,b,c,d?

    first calculate d by subtituting the point (0,-4) and then the other 3 coefficients
