We known p, how to determined q (in function of p)?

As you see, q is not a function of p. In addition to p, you need to know X / Y.

Since the increase and decrease are in percentage thus we should have

X + p%X = Y - q%Y That gives

X + pX/ 100 = Y - qY/100

qY/100 = Y - X - pX/ 100

Now proceed further
