confusing problem with basic accounting question

Directions: Given the information find the weekly and monthly taxable wages (4.3 weeks per month).
This is for federal income taxes.
    Problem
Weekly Taxable Wages: $21.40 a hour, 40 hour work week, 49 weeks per year
    Weekly Taxable wages: $21.40*40=$856.00
    Monthly Taxable wages: ????
I really don't know what to do here. Do I just take $21.40*40*4.3 weeks? Thanks. Oh monthly taxable wages are the amount of wages before being taxed.

Yeah, just do that. Or you could 21.4*8(no. of hours worked per day)*(no. of days worked in the month) but then you'd have to do months individually. Each month would be different on an hourly wage though.
