y=-0.70x^2 +30

y=7

Apparently you get the square root of 230/7, but I dont know how to get there.

y=-0.70x^2 +30--(1)

y=7--(2)

substitude (1) to (2), 7=-0.70x^2 +30

0.70x^2= 23

x10, 7x^2=230

x^2= 230/7

x= square root of 230/7 - July 7th 2013, 11:54 PMbrosnan123Re: Simultaneous Equations!
Ans :- y = -0.70x^2 + 30

y + 0.70x^2 - 30 = 0

0.70x^2 + y - 30 = 0

0.70x^2 + 7 - 30 = 0

0.70x^2 - 23 = 0

0.70x^2 = 23

x^2 = 23/7*10

x^2 = 230/7

x = sqrt 230/7
