Re: Algebra simplify
I'm assuming this is

(3 a^-3)*(4 a^5)

Do you have a notion what it might be? Could you write this as a fraction, with a denominator?

I'm trying to figure out where you're having difficulty.

Re: Algebra simplify
If you are telling that 3a^-3 * 4a^5 is something like

................... $3a^{-3}*4a^{5}$,

then it's simple. Just multiply the whole numbers together, and the bases together (folow the law - when equal bases are multiplied, the indices are added. Simple. c:

................... $\left (3*4\left \right )( a^{-3}*a^{5} \right )$

Re: Algebra simplify
Check up on exponent rules.

$a^m\cdot a^n=a^{m+n}$
