Thread: Clarification on Inequality Answer, Please

I just need some quick help here with this inequality answer: 8(2x-0,2) > 0,4+3-(-2x-0,1) (correct to 2 dec)

8(2x-0,2) > 0,4+3-(-2x-0,1)
16x -1.6 > 0,4-6x-0,3
22x > 0,4+1,6-0,3
22x> 1,7
Now the textbook has the solution of: x > 0,08 (2 dec)

I understand pretty much up until working out the final solution, how did they get 0,08?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks a lot!

there's a mistake, you have distributed the 3 in the parenthesses, but there's a - waiting hehe

I checked the textbook though and the steps are done exactly like I have done mine, So is the textbook wrong then?

None is perfect maybe if you are 100% sure.
