0=(5-x)(x+9.5)(1.2+x)
Hi, I have the above cubic equation to solve, but I am unsure of the steps involved to solve it. Can someone show me the steps required to solve cubic equations? I appreciate any help.
Thanks.

What if x=5 or two other easy to spot values? ;)
The basic idea you have used for quadratic equations: if ABC= 0 then A= 0 and/or B= 0 and/or C= 0. Set each of the factors equal to 0 and solve for x.
