Thread: Simple Algebra help needed

Will be honest it may be that my IQ is low or i don't know what but i cant even finish this simple maths exercises and i need to hand them in tomorrow. What i have to do is make the same exercises with different numbers to show that i have understood the subject which i didn't . If someone find this easy and could help you would make a sad panda happy over here cheers!

#17 "Four more than three times a number"
"Three times a number is 3a (I have called 'the number' a) and "four more than" that is 3a+ 4. Since that "is 13", the equation is 3a+ 4= 13.

#22 "If four is subtracted from twice a number"
Calling the number "x" this time, "twice a number" is 2x and four subtracted from that is 2x- 4. "Ten less than the number" is x- 10 so, 2x- 4= x- 10.
