Thread: Simplifying Rational Expressions

Hey All,
I know this might seem easy for most of you but i'm totally stuck and I can't get a hold of my teacher. This is for Math 30-2 (Kind of like Math 30 Applied?)

Q: Simplify
10x^2-8x / 24x-30x

I simplified to 2x(5x-4) / 2x(12-15)

This isn't the correct answer in the textbook and I have no idea what to do from here.
Step by Step please!

2x(5x-4)/(-6x)

<=> -(5x-4)/3
