    Multiple Probability

    A fair coin is tossed three times and the events , , and are defined as follows:
    At least one head is observed
    At least two heads are observed
    The number of heads observed is odd

    Find the following probabilities by summing the probabilities of the appropriate sample points (note that 0 is an even number):
    (a) 1/2
    (b) 3/8
    (c)

    What is the answer to part C how do you get it? Thanks

    Hey rikki397.

    Recall that P(A or B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A and B) which means

    P(A OR B OR C) = P(A) + P(B) + P(C) - P(A and B) - P(B and C) - P(A and B and C)
