Simplify and state excluded values?

can anyone help me with this? I'm not sure what it means by state the excluded values, or how to properly simplify this?

2x-12

x^2-5x-6

times

x+1
__________
x^2-16x+64

2x-16=2(x-6), x^2-5x-6=(x-6)(x+1), x^2-16x+64=(x-8)^2

So we have
2(x-6)(x+1)/[(x-6)(x+1)(x-8)(x-8)]= 2/(x-8)^2
I think state excluded values are undefined values which in this case would be x=8
