Thread: Inversely Proportional

If y varies inversely as x, and y=12 when x=6, what is K, the variation constant?
Cross Multiplying XY = K
i.e. 6*12 = 72
So k= 72??
Similarly
If x inversely proportional to y, and x=60 when y=0.5, find x when y=12.
From the first part K = 30
So X = 30/12 = /2 = 2.5

Right??
