how do we solve this function:
f(x)= -1/5x -2

I suspect you meant to solve -1/5x - 2 = 0
It that is the case, then you are supposed to add 2 to each side of the equality.
Then multiply each side by 5.
And finally negate both sides.
This should leave you with just x on the left side and the answer on the right side.
Is that something you can do?
