What I don't understand is how the last two steps happen. I understand that 10/-6 reduces to -5/3, but not how sqrt(244) is 61? It it that sqrt(244) is sqrt(4*61)?

hi there! all what is happening is that root 244 can be simplified to root4 * root61 which is the same as 2*root61 and then the 2 would divide out with 6, just like the 10 and 6 thus resulting Attachment 26964Quote:
