I need help with the following problems:

Siplify 1/3(3x) + [(-5x) + (5x)]


Simplify and write with positive exponents

Factor Completely
324x^2 - 36y - 180x^2 + 20

Factor Completely
49x^2 + 28x + 4

Solve and Check
2[7x + 2 + 4(x + 1)] = -4x + 1

Solve by factoring
3x (x-4) = 5x^2 - 13x

Solve by using the square root method
(11x - 4)^2 = 12

AND LASTLY

SOLVE BY USING THE QUADRATIC FORMULA
3x^2 = -12x - 2

Simplify 1/3(3x) + [(-5x) + (5x)]

1/3 * 3 = 1 so the first portion becomes x
-5x + 5x = 0 so the second portion dissapears
you are left with:

Simplify and write with positive exponents

The forst portion can ber written as 1/x^2 and the second potio as y^4/1
multiply the two parts together and you get

6x√(5x)

SOLVE BY USING THE QUADRATIC FORMULA
3x^2 = -12x - 2

3x^2 + 12x + 2 = 0

a=3
b=12
c=2

-12 +/- √(12^2 - 4*3*2)
.............2*3

-2 + (√120)/6
-2 - (√120)/6

which can be simplified to

-2 + (√30)/3
-2 - (√30)/3

Solve and Check
2[7x + 2 + 4(x + 1)] = -4x + 1

14x + 4 + 8x +8 = -4x + 1
22x + 12 = 1 - 4x

26x = -11

x = -11/26

Check

2[7(-11/26) + 2 + 4((-11/26) + 1)] = -4(-11/26) + 1
22(-11/26) + 12 = 1 - 4(-11/26)

both sides = 2.6923...

There have been 65 people who viewed this, does anyone know how to factor those three problems. This forum has been the last resort because I couldn't figure them out on my own....
