Player A has a higher batting average than player B for the first half of baseball season. Player A also has a higher batting average than player B for the second half of the season. is it necessarily true that player A has a higher batting average for the entire baseball season? Please show why or why not.

hmmm...well, it does mean that he has had the higher batting average throughout the whole season. you can only have 2 halves, so if he is higher for the first half as well as the second, he will be higher for the wholeQuote:
